How it works

We do the work first. You decide after.

No meetings, no brief to write, no bill until you have seen your site and want to keep it. Here is the whole process, from your first email to a live site and everything after.

  1. We build your preview

Tell us your business name. We design a real, working site for you, free.

  2. You make it yours

Answer a few questions and send your logo and photos. Your words, your colours, your story.

  3. We put it live

On your own domain, secured, and tested on phones before anyone sees it.

  4. You email, we update

New hours or a new service? Send an email and it is changed. No logins, no dashboards.

  1. We build your preview

We start from what is already public about your business: your Google listing, your current site if you have one, your reviews and photos. From that we draft a real, working site: the words, the structure, colours taken from your logo if you have one, and the hours, address and phone number people look for first.

The preview sits at a private address that search engines do not index, and the link comes to you by email. Look at it on your phone, forward it to anyone whose opinion you trust, and take your time.

    What we need from you
Your business name and an email address.
    When
Usually within a few days of your request.
  2. You make it yours

If you like the preview, you pick a plan and we send a short set of questions by email: your hours, the services and prices you want shown, the area you serve, what you would like visitors to do (call, book, order, visit) and anything the preview got wrong.

Send your logo and a few photos if you have them. If you do not, we use clean stock imagery until you do. We rewrite the site around your answers and send it back for you to approve. Nothing is published until you have said yes.

    What we need from you
Your answers, your logo and photos, and your choice of plan. A domain you already own, if you have one.
    When
At your pace. Most owners send everything within a week.
  3. We put it live

We register a domain in your name, or connect the one you already own, and set up the security certificate. Before anything goes live the site has to pass our quality gate: a score of 90 or higher in all four of Google's Lighthouse tests, a check on phone-sized screens, and a person reading every page.

Then we publish it on your domain, submit the sitemap to Google and set up or tidy your Google Business Profile with you so the map listing and the site agree.

    What we need from you
Nothing new. If you own the domain, we may ask you to add two records at your registrar, or to let us do it.
    When
Typically within a week of your answers. A domain you already own can add a day for its records to update.
  4. You email, we update

When something changes, email us in plain words from the address we have on file for you and attach any new photos. We make the change, check it and publish it, within the turnaround for your plan, and reply to say it is done.

On Growth and Authority you also hear from us each month with a report of the searches that brought people to your site. On Authority, a new page or article arrives every month on a topic you choose, with a Google post and review replies drafted for you to paste.

    What we need from you
An email whenever something changes. That is all.
    When
Within two business days on Starter, by the next business day on Growth, the same business day on Authority.

The timeline

From first email to live, week by week.

Most sites go live within two weeks of the first email. The pace is set by how quickly your answers and photos come in, not by us.

  1. Day 1

You send your business name, through the form or by email. We reply to say we are on it.

  2. Within a few days

The preview link arrives in your inbox. It is a real, working site at a private address. Look at it on your phone; that is where your customers will see it.

  3. Week 1

You decide. If it is a yes, you pick a plan and answer our questions by email, and send your logo and photos. We register your domain in your name, or start connecting the one you have. The first month is charged when you start your plan through the payment link in your welcome email; the preview before that costs nothing.

  4. Week 2

We finish the site with your answers and photos and send it back for approval. Once you are happy it goes through the quality gate and live on your domain. We set up your Google Business Profile with you; Google verifies it with you directly, so that part runs at Google's pace.

  5. Every month after

Edits by email, as many as your plan includes. The search report lands at the start of the month on Growth and Authority. On Authority, the month's new page, Google post and review replies come to you for a yes before anything is published.

After launch

What counts as an edit, and how to ask for one.

An edit is a change to wording, hours, prices, services, photos, colours or contact details, sent in one email. "Update our Saturday hours and swap the two kitchen photos" is one edit.

To request one, email us in plain words from the address we have on file for you and attach any new photos. We act only on requests from your addresses on file, so nobody can change your site by writing to us from an address we do not know; to let a manager or colleague send changes, tell us from your own address and we add theirs.

Starter includes two edits a calendar month, done within two business days; a third is held and made on the first day of the next month unless you move to Growth. Growth edits are unlimited and done by the next business day; Authority edits are unlimited and done the same business day. These are targets rather than guarantees; if a change will take longer, we say so when it arrives. A page beyond your plan's allowance, a new section or a redesign is quoted separately unless your plan includes it.

Done without asking

  • Wording, hours and holiday hours
  • Prices and services
  • Photos, your logo and colours
  • Contact details and the tools you link to
  • Specials, announcements and testimonials

Made, checked by a person and published, then we reply to say it is done.

Confirmed with you first

  • Anything that changes a price or a legal statement
  • A new page or a change to the structure of the site
  • Anything we are not sure we have understood
  • Requests from an address that is not on file, which we check with you before acting

We reply with what we understood and wait for your yes before anything is published.

The quality gate

Nothing goes live until it passes.

Every new site, and every change to one, goes through the same three checks before anyone else sees it.

Lighthouse, 90 or higher

Google's own test of a site's speed, accessibility, best practices and search readiness. A site has to score 90 or higher in all four before it goes live, and after every change.

Checked at phone sizes

Every page is checked on phone-sized screens, where most of your visitors are: the phone number taps, the map opens, the menu reads without pinching, nothing overflows.

Read by a person

We use AI to draft and to do the routine work. A person reads every page before you see it and every change before it is published, and catches what a tool would not.

90+Performance
90+Accessibility
90+Best practices
90+Search

Our launch rule: a site must score 90 or higher in all four of Google's Lighthouse tests before it goes live.

Going live

On your own domain, in your own name.

If you do not have a domain, we register one in your name as part of the plan and pay its renewal while you are with us. If you already own one, it stays where it is registered; we send you two records to add at your registrar, or add them for you if you prefer, and the site appears at your address once they update, usually within a day.

The security certificate is set up and renews itself, so visitors never see a "Not secure" warning. The site is hosted on Google's network (Firebase), which serves pages from locations near your visitors and keeps a backup of every published version. We submit the sitemap to Google and set up or tidy your Google Business Profile with you, so the map listing and the site tell the same story.

If you ever cancel

Tell us by email. There is no contract and no notice period; the plan ends at the end of the paid month and nothing further is charged. The site stays online until then, and nothing goes offline without telling you first.

Your domain, words, logo and photos leave with you, and we help you move the domain to a registrar of your choice. Once what you have paid adds up to $999, the finished site and its files are yours too, free. Before then, you can take the site for the difference between what you have paid and $999. How that works, plan by plan.

Free preview

See your new site before you spend anything.

Send us your business name and we build a working preview, free. Keep it from $49 a month with hosting, your domain and edits included, or walk away. There is nothing to pay to look.

A person reads every message. The preview usually arrives within a few days.
